Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid
₨5,200
Description
Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid is a targeted chemical exfoliant designed to melt away dead skin cells and clear trapped oil, specifically focusing on whiteheads and closed comedones (small, skin-colored bumps).
It is highly regarded because it uses a high concentration of 7% Glycolic Acid while remaining hydrating, making it effective but less stripping than many Western exfoliants.
Key Benefits
Dissolves Whiteheads: Gently breaks down the “glue” that holds dead skin cells together, preventing them from clogging pores.
Brightens Skin Tone: Regular use helps fade acne marks (PIH) and sun-induced hyperpigmentation.
Refines Texture: Smoothes out rough, “sandpaper” skin to create a softer, more even surface.
Hydrating Base: Formulated with 78% Apple Fruit Water and Hyaluronic Acid to keep the skin from drying out during the exfoliation process.
Core Ingredients
Ingredient Purpose 7% Glycolic Acid The active AHA that resurfaces and exfoliates the skin. Pyrus Malus (Apple) Water Provides natural AHA benefits and intense hydration. Niacinamide (2%) Brightens skin and helps control excess sebum. Panthenol & Hyaluronic Acid Soothe the skin and lock in moisture to prevent irritation. How to Use (Crucial for Best Results)
Start Slow: If you are new to acids, use it only once a week at night. Gradually increase to 2–3 times a week as your skin builds tolerance.
Evening Only: AHAs make your skin more sensitive to the sun. It is best used in your nighttime routine.
Application: After cleansing, apply a small amount to a cotton pad (or your hands) and swipe over the face, avoiding the eyes and lips.
Wait Time: For maximum efficacy, wait 5–10 minutes before applying your next step (like a moisturizer) to let the acid work at its optimal pH.
Sunscreen is Mandatory: You must wear SPF 30+ the following morning, as AHA increases photosensitivity for up to a week.
mportant Precautions
The “Purge”: You may experience a “purging” period where deep-seated clogs come to the surface as small whiteheads. This typically resolves within 2–4 weeks.
Avoid Mixing: Do not use this in the same routine as high-strength Vitamin C, Retinol, or other strong exfoliating acids (BHA) to avoid irritation.
Pregnancy/Nursing: It is generally recommended to avoid high-strength AHAs and BHAs during pregnancy or breastfeeding without consulting a doctor.
